Jason Cimpl, Research AnalystJason Cimpl is a Research Analyst at Wyatt Investment Research, and focuses on technical analysis and active trading. Born and raised near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jason started investing in stocks during grade school and made money on technology stocks during the mid 1990’s like Intel and EMC. His fondness of equities only grew with age. Jason is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, with a degree in Finance, Investments and Banking. With his real world investing experience validated by an academic degree, Jason hit the job market. His first stop was at software provider Epic Systems. In the accounting department, he quickly learned the intricacies of running a small technology business. Next, at financial giant AXA, he honed his skills at portfolio management and capital allocation. Jason is first and foremost a growth investor. His investment style is more like George Soros than Warren Buffett. Valuations are important, but he will pay a hefty premium for a well run company focused on increasing shareholder value. Jason is also a market technician and does not rely solely on fundamental analysis. While he contends that in the long term the market will gravitate to fundamental fair value prices, in the short-term technical analysis can efficiently predict price moves – and the short-term can last for many months. Small cap stocks will always be Jason’s favorite investment, but he also likes to trade currency. Now with Wyatt Investment Research, Jason is the lead technical analyst and editor of TradeMaster Daily Stock Alerts. He also serves as a Research Analyst and contributor to the company’s other publications including Small Cap Investor PRO, Top Stock Insights, Energy World Profit, and Global Commodity Investing. Tyler LaundonTyler Laundon is a Research Analyst at Wyatt Investment Research where he specializes in small-cap stock analysis. Born in Vermont, Tyler attended the University of Vermont where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Small Business Management. As an aspiring entrepreneur he founded and operated a residential contracting firm with operations in Stowe, Vermont and Nantucket, Massachusetts. Before the real estate crash, he made a clean exit from the contracting industry to pursue his MBA degree at the University of Vermont. Tyler graduated first in his class after two years with a finance concentration. Throughout graduate school, Tyler worked at a technology incubator with a number of start-up companies to develop viable business models. He subsequently worked in the health care industry developing a strategic business plan for a faculty practice group with annual revenues in excess of $200 million. Tyler gravitates toward fundamental analysis with a secondary focus on technical analysis to support buy and sell decisions. An individual investor, he began dabbling in the markets as a way to raise cash to fund renovations on his 1850’s era farmhouse. He’s a firm believer in the short-term inefficiency of markets and the opportunities they create for astute investors who have done their homework. He’s also a bit of a contrarian investor, and won’t hesitate to take the unpopular side of a trade when he recognizes a profit opportunity With Wyatt Investment Research, Tyler is the lead research analyst and contributor to Small Cap Investor PRO and Small Cap Investor Daily. He also serves as Research Analyst, contributor, and editor to the company’s other publication’s including Top Stock Insights, TradeMaster Daily Stock Alerts, and Daily Profit.
