Here are Thursday’s biggest percentage gainers and losers in midday trading, along with top volume leaders, among companies with a market cap between $50 million and $750 million:

Biggest percentage gainers:

Santander BanCorp (NYSE:SBP), up 35.6% to $18.96 despite no fresh news.
Yucheng Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:YTEC), up 19.4% to $12.89 after the provider of technology services announced that it inked a contract and started providing point-of-sale services to the Beijing branch of China Construction Bank.
Perry Ellis International, Inc. (Nasdaq:PERY), up 15.2% to $28.06 after the Miami-based apparel company posted first-quarter profits above Wall Street expectations.

Biggest percentage losers:

Mexco Energy Corp. (AMEX:MXC), down 27.8% to $35.65 despite no significant announcements but likely on the easing price of crude oil.
Pyramid Oil Co. (AMEX:PDO), down 21.4% to $21.30 despite no reports from the Bakersfield, Calif.-based firm.
Fieldpoint Petroleum Corp. (AMEX:FPP), down 21.2% to $5.70 despite no significant announcements.
