Computer Programs & Systems down after missing Q3 revenue projections

Computer Programs & Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CPSI) shares are edging down after the health care information technology company reported third-quarter net income of $3.2 million, or $0.30 per share, above analyst estimates but below $3.4 million, or $0.32 per share, a year earlier.

Quarterly revenue increased to $28 million, below Wall Street projections of $27.97 million and from $27.3 million during the same period of 2006.

In morning trading, CPSI shares are down 2.86%, or $0.71, at $27.30. Over the last 52 weeks, shares have ranged from $24.85 to $37.59.
