The dust has all but settled on the latest earnings season.
Most of the big boys have already held their second-quarter 2012 earnings announcements. Financials wrapped up almost two weeks ago. Blue-chip tech stocks such as Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL), Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) and Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) reported in the last week.
Meanwhile, this season’s biggest earnings curiosity – market newbie Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) – held its first-ever public earnings call last Thursday.
What’s left is mostly a hodgepodge of little-known small caps and medium-sized regional companies. There’s not much sex appeal left in this earnings season.
But a few gems remain. Large caps Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) and Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG) are set to report earnings this week. Several other smaller companies with national appeal will also report.
Here is a full look at some of the more compelling announcements scheduled for an otherwise dull earnings week:
- Pfizer (PFE)
- Goodyear Tires (NYSE: GT)
- Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (Nasdaq: GMCR)
- Time Warner (NYSE: TWX)
- DirecTV (Nasdaq: DTV)
- General Motors (NYSE: GM)
- LinkedIn (NYSE: LNKD)
- Procter & Gamble (PG)
- Terra Nitrogen (NYSE: TNH)
- The Washington Post Company (NYSE: WPO)
