FBR Capital Markets acquires East Peak Advisors

Investment bank FBR Capital Markets Corp. (Nasdaq: FBCM) said this morning that it has acquired East Peak Advisors, LLC, an investment bank focused on information technology. The Arlington, Va.-based firm did not disclose the purchase price. Shares jumped 17.3%, or $1.04, to $7.06 at 10:21 a.m. ET.
