GigaBeam Corp. books WiFib order from Solana Technologies
Shares of GigaBeam Corp. (Nasdaq: GGBM) are jumping in pre-market trading after the wireless fiber optics technology company said that it has booked an order for one of its WiFiber links from key reseller Solana Technologies.
The technology will be implemented by the U.S. Department of Defense to support the U.S. Navy.
GigaBeam has sold 27 links so far to the Department of Defense and more than 75 links to major government agencies globally.
Solana Technologies provides network and communications products and services to a range of commercial enterprises and governmental agencies.
Shares of GigaBeam (GGBM) popped 8.65%, or $0.23, to $2.89 in pre-market trading. Shares of GigaBeam have been trading in the range of $2.06 and $7.31 for the past 52 weeks.
