LSI Industries raises Q4 guidance
LSI Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: LYTS), which provides visual image solutions, projects fourth-quarter earnings in the range of $0.27 per share and $0.29 per share, the Cincinnati, Ohio-based company said this morning. That’s above Wall Street’s projected income of $0.22 per share. The stock is up $1.23, or 8%, to $16.55.
Shares of Avalon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: AVRX) are higher following news after Tuesday’s close that the Germantown, Md.-based company announced positive interim results from its Phase I study of a drug that treats hematologic malignancies. The stock is up $0.59, or 12%, to $5.70.
Shares of Luna Innovations Inc. (Nasdaq: LUNA), which researches and commercializes technologies, are rising following news this morning that the Roanoke, Va.-based company has collaborated with Virginia Commonwealth University to become the first to show that carbon nanospheres are able to block allergic response in human cell culture experiments and mice. The company said it hopes the discovery will help it develop a treatment for allergies. Shares are up $0.56, or 12%, to $5.30.
Dredging services provider Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corp. (Nasdaq: GLDD) announced after Tuesday’s close a $100 million secondary offering of shares of its common stock. The Illinois, Ill.-based company will not receive any proceeds from the sale of the shares but will pay the expenses of the offering. The stock is up $0.10, or 1%, to $10.10.
Tulsa, Okla.-based Matrix Service Co. (Nasdaq: MTRX), a provider of construction and maintenance services, reported this morning that it expects fiscal year 2008 revenues between $700 million and $750 million. Analysts were looking for revenues of $725.26 million. Shares are down $2.53, or 9%, to $26.58.
Shares of Vyyo Inc. (Nasdaq: VYYO) are higher following news this morning that the Norcross, Ga.-based provider of cable and wireless broadband access has been chosen by cable operator Cox Communication for the delivery of services in Oklahoma. Shares are up $0.21, or 3%, to $7.10.
