MSC Software down on lower Q3 revenue
MSC Software Corp. (Nasdaq: MSCS) shares are down after the simulation software maker announced preliminary third-quarter revenue of about $57 million, below analyst estimates of $60.7 million and compared with $58.4 million during the year-ago period. The company expects to report third-quarter results on Nov. 6.
The Santa Ana, Calif.-based firm is holding a conference call at 5 p.m. to discuss financial performance and other topics.
In afternoon trading, MSCS shares are down 3.48%, or $0.50, at $13.86. Over the last 52 weeks, shares have ranged from $11.44 to $16.54.
