NIVS: Intelligent devices
"Intelligent audio and video is the next wave of consumer electronics," says Richard Schmidt, referring to voice-controlled electronic devices. Here's his pick from The Stellar Stock Alert.
"We still believe America is the best business machine in the world; but we also know that you can make a lot of money by investing in #2 or #3.
"As such, we’re looking at an opportunity in China; the third largest economy in the world is positioned for massive growth. In fact, it’s got the ability to grow far more than any other country in the world.
"Beyond the risk of a communist government, there’s incredible potential that’s yet untapped. Not only do you have a country with a huge population – giving it the manpower needed for economic growth, but you also have people who are eager to work and a culture that values hard work.
"Now China is taking a cue from America and is learning business from the best in the world. Couple the Chinese culture with American business know-how and you’ve got the potential for huge profits.
"Right now, the opportunities are actually hotter than in the U.S. Last year our major markets sunk 50%, while China’s GDP grew 6%. This month, we have a new recommendation: NIVS Intelli-Media Technology (ASE: NIV).
"NIVS is a small-cap stock that trades on the American Stock Exchange. As such, it hasn’t received the attention you’d expect for a company that’s this profitable. But we see that changing in the near future.
"Intelligent audio and video is the next wave of consumer electronics. The technology that NIVS is developing allows for speech interactive devices, such as digital audio, LCD televisions, digital video broadcasting (DVB) set-top boxes, and more. These are devices that allow you to control them with voice commands.
"And, NIVS is profitable. We believe this demand is set to increase substantially as the company expands its worldwide presence. It currently sells in 60 different countries.
"But its primary focus has been in China. That’s going to change, as it sees opportunities to grow in the U.S. and Europe. NIVS could easily become the next Sony. And we want to be on board early. NIVS is a strong new buy."
