Bridgewater, N.J.-based Enzon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENZN) is flat despite news this morning that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted full approval for its meningitis drug DepoCyt. Shares are down $0.01, or 0.12%, to $8.65.
Shares of cosmetics company Physicians Formula Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: FACE) are trading higher on news after Thursday’s close that the Azusa, Calif.-based firm will price its secondary offering of 4,391,000 shares of its common stock at $20.75. That’s above Thursday’s closing price of $21.27. Shares are up $0.85, or 4.16%, to $21.27.
San Francisco-based Life sciences company Monogram Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: MGRM) has gained ground following speculation on Thursday that pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, Inc. would receive approval for its HIV drug from U.S. regulators. Monogram Biosciences is collaborating with Pfizer and has a diagnostic test which determines which patients can receive Pfizer’s drug. Shares are up $0.18, or 9.47%, to $2.08.
Shares of Dublin, Calif.-based SuperGen, Inc. (Nasdaq: SUPG) are trading lower despite news this morning that the pharmaceutical company has signed a definitive agreement to sell the rights to its anticancer treatments mitomycin and paclitaxel to Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. for $1.2 million. Shares are down $0.14, or 2.06%, to $6.67.
