Pre-market: Parlux Fragrances receives extension from Nasdaq
Shares of Parlux Fragrances, Inc. (Nasdaq: PARL) moved up on news the Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based company has received an extension from the Nasdaq Stock Market to continue listing its shares on the exchange. The maker of perfume and beauty products was late filing its financial results for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2006, but expects to turn in the figures by April 16, Parlux said after Wednesday’s close. Shares are up $0.40, or 7.89%, to $5.47.
Comparable store sales at Tuesday Morning Corporation (Nasdaq: TUES) decreased 5.4% for the first quarter ended March 31, 2007, the Dallas-based retailer said this morning. However, total net sales for the first quarter were $189.2 million, compared with $187.8 million a year earlier. Shares are up $0.07, or 0.49%, to $14.25.
Shares of Denver-based American Oil & Gas, Inc. (AMEX: AEZ) are up on news the company has announced an offering of common stock pursuant to its shelf registration statement. The company will issue about six million shares of common stock for proceeds of $28.5 million, it said this morning. Shares are up $0.01, or 0.19%, to $5.37.
Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTIC) will sell about $37.2 million of its 3% convertible preferred stock and warrants to institutional investors, the Seattle-based company said this morning. The offering will close on Monday, April 16. Shares are up $0.21, or 12.96%, to $1.83.
High-density computer servers provider Rackable Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: RACK) has stumbled following news this morning that analyst Zacks Equity Research downgraded its stock to “Sell.” Shares are down $0.18, or 1.30%, to $13.64.
Shares of HDTV distributor and developer Syntax-Brillian Corp. (Nasdaq: BRLC) are up on news the company confirmed its revenue and gross margin outlook for the third quarter ended March 31, 2007. Revenues are expected in the range between $160 million - $170 million, while analysts are looking for $167 million. Shares are up $0.05, or 0.60%, to $8.34.
