Yardville National Bancorp (Nasdaq: YANB), the holding company for Yardville National Bank, will be purchased by PNC Financial Services Group Inc. (NYSE: PNC) for $403 million in stock and cash, according to news reports this morning. The buyout has been approved by both boards. Shares are up $0.23, or 1%, to $35.77.
Shares of Lexington, Mass.-based Indevus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDEV) sagging despite news this morning that a Phase III clinical trial of a long-acting injectable testosterone therapy net its endpoints and showed that the treatment was well tolerated. Shares are down $0.10, or 1%, to $7.26.
Birmingham, Ala.-based Books-A-Million, Inc. (Nasdaq: BAMM) will pay its shareholders a one-time dividend of $3.00 per share on July 5, 2007, the book retailer said after Wednesday’s close. The stock has gained $0.31, or 2%, to $16.81.
Shares of Neurochem Inc. (Nasdaq: NRMX) are in positive territory following news this morning that the Canadian pharmaceutical company has published results from a clinical trial of a treatment for amyloidosis-associated renal disease in the New England Journal of Medicine. The stock has added $0.20, or 3%, to $7.49.
Regeneration Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: RTIX), a maker of surgical implants, has signed an agreement to provide spinal allograft implants to medical technology company Stryker Corp. (NYSE: SYK). Shares have dropped $0.03, or 0.29%, to $10.47.
