About Ian Wyatt

Hi. I’m Ian Wyatt.

For the past 30 years, I’ve been actively investing in the stock market. And I’ve spent the last 20 years publishing my investment ideas online in order tohelp you benefit from my successes and failures.

It all started when my grandparents gave me a few shares of Exxon stock and enrolled in the dividend reinvestment program. The 1980s were a booming time for oil stocks, and Exxon turned into a big stock market winner.

By the time I was 9-years-old I was reading The Wall Street Journal’s Guide to Investing and Barron’s Magazine. I was even able to convince my parents to let me open up a brokerage account at Charles Schwab & Co.

My account was funded with few shares of Exxon and $375 of my savings from my after-school job delivering newspapers. I was thrilled to have my own account and loved calling the 1-800-number to buy and sell shares of Disney and Tootsie Roll (this was before online trading was a thing).

While other kids were going to camp and playing video games, I spent my summers interning at Robert W. Baird. And working as a runner on the floor of the Chicago Stock Exchange.

Once I discovered the Internet, I learned HTML coding and launched my first investing web site back in 1998 (I’d convinced my mom that being an Internet entrepreneur would be my “summer job.”).

From that day forward, I’ve been hooked. I’m an avid individual investor who thoroughly loves researching stocks, uncovering growth trends, and finding the best investments. And for the past20-years, I’ve spent every day studying the markets with the goal of becoming a better investor.

My Goal: To Help You Become a Better Investor

Most Americans know very little about the stock market and investing. Yet understanding the markets is crucial if you wish to live a life of true financial freedom.

Unfortunately, high schools and colleges provide very little education related to personal finance, investing and retirement planning. Meanwhile, corporations have closed their pensions and replaced them with 401(K) retirement accounts.

This means you have 100% responsibility for your own investment success – yet you haven’t been given the tools or education needed in order to be successful.

My goal is simple.

I want to help you become a better investor by sharing with you my lessons learned from my many successes and failures.

Plus, with 20+ years as an investment research analyst I’ve developed a deep network of financial professionals. This means that I’m able to tap into a vast group of experts to bring you unique and actionable ideas that you won’t find elsewhere.

I look forward to helping you achieve financial success and independence.

Yours in Profits,

Ian Wyatt
