Wyatt Research Week-in-Review: Oct. 26-Nov. 1

So much for that market correction.
Just weeks removed from spiraling out of control and seemingly headed for a significant pullback, U.S. stocks have stabilized and recovered every ounce of their 9% losses. The S&P 500 closed out the week at yet a new all-time high. Sound familiar?
Correction averted. At least for now. Who knows when the real one could hit. It could be next month, it could be next year. It might still be a couple years away. After all, we’re only halfway to the record seven-year “drought” between corrections of 10% or more that we saw from 1990 to 1997.
That doesn’t mean the coast is clear and there’s no chance of a more substantial pullback in the coming months. But it does mean there’s no need to live in fear of a correction. People were sure that the long-feared correction had finally arrived. Then suddenly sentiment changed on Wall Street and stocks have motored back to unprecedented heights.
Now that investors have a spring back in their step, we had plenty of good things to write about at Wyatt Investment Research this week.
