Previously, he was the Editor-in-Chief of The Motley Fool and Editorial Director for TurboTax, so one could say he has a gift for demystifying complex financial subject matter for the masses. His work has appeared in Newsweek, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Motley Fool, and many other publications. He holds an M.F.A. in creative writing from the University of Maryland-College Park and a B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He’s published a book of short stories, written scripts for two feature films, and co-produced another that debuted on Showtime and The Movie Channel. When he’s not helping investors find great, long-term investments for their portfolios, you might find him hiking, enjoying the beach, or playing one of his many guitars.
