Chris Preston is an Investment Reporter for Wyatt Investment Research who examines the financial markets and provides actionable investment ideas to individual investors. Chris is an award-winning journalist whose bylines have appeared in Time Magazine, ESPN.com, U.S. News and World Report and the Burlington Free Press. Chris was a reporter and editor for seven years prior to joining Wyatt Investment Research. Since moving to Vermont in 2006, Chris has written for newspapers including the Stowe Reporter, Waterbury Record and Shelburne News. He also served as an editor for the website Northeast Sports Network. Prior to that, he was an assistant sports editor for a 60,000-circulation newspaper called The Globe in North Carolina. He has won two writing awards, including a Vermont Press Association feature-writing award. Chris has written about a variety of subjects, including in-depth profiles of Vermont businesses, the creation of the Homeland Security Department, and the devastating effects of Hurricane Irene on Vermont in 2011. While reporting for the Waterbury Record and Stowe Reporter, Chris regularly covered some of Vermont’s leading publicly traded and privately held companies. Raised in Richmond, Virginia, Chris first migrated north when he attended Hamilton College in Clinton, New York. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature.
