Here in the home office in Richmond, VT, we’ve had a nice, late summer reprise with sunny skies and temps in the 70s. We know it won’t last and the deep freeze of winter looms. Can we say the same about the market?

Volatility has been the operative word lately with the Dow spiraling downward on Thursday and then picking up steam again on Friday to close into positive territory. No one knows if the ghosts of past Octobers will be scary or benevolent, but if you’re dollar cost averaging into great companies you want to own, perhaps you should stop worrying and focus on some other things. Like Derek Jeter getting the winning hit in his last at bat in Yankee Stadium. Or India making it to Mars.

Get out and enjoy the sunshine. We’ll worry about the market for you here at Wyatt Investment Research.
