Will Elon Musk buy TikTok?
Chinese officials have been discussing the possibility, according to The Wall Street Journal.
U.S. Congress passed a law banning TikTok effective January 19.
That means TikTok will be illegal starting Sunday — unless the Supreme Court halts the ban.
Elon Musk has a strong relationship with the Chinese government.
Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) is a major manufacturer in China. And the country is a huge market for Tesla EVs.

Here’s my prediction…
The Chinese government will wait until President Trump is inaugurated on January 20.
They’ll use TikTok as a pawn to negotiate a more favorable trade deal with the United States.
TikTok USA is estimated to be worth $30 – $40 billion.
Elon Musk will lead the acquisition of TikTok – merging TikTok with Twitter / X and his xAI startup.
Elon will get financial backing from his buddies including Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) founder Larry Ellison and venture capital firm Andreesen Horowitz.
The combined Twitter + xAI + TikTok will be a social media platform to rival Facebook and Meta Platforms.
Let’s see how things play out in the coming days.
Elon Musk is worth $416 billion. And his stake in SpaceX is worth nearly $150 billion.
SpaceX is launching the Space Race 2.0.
One new company that’s “the next SpaceX” could be a huge winner.
My estimates suggest shares could jump 457% with an upcoming Nasdaq IPO. And FAA approval could launch the stock 1,585%.
