IBM just announced…
Their engineers connected two quantum machines that run more than 180 times colder than deep space.
It’s a major step toward the most powerful computer ever built.

On Tuesday, IBM announced it successfully linked and cooled its first modular “quantum fridges.”
Each unit stands 8 feet tall and 8 feet wide.
Inside, temperatures drop below 15 millikelvin… which is colder than anywhere in the known universe.
These fridges are designed to link hundreds of quantum chips into one massive quantum computer.
IBM will install its new Nighthawk processors inside the modules later this year.
By 2027, it plans to connect multiple processors into a quantum computer with more than 1,000 programmable qubits.
And by 2029, it plans to deliver “Starling,” the world’s first fault-tolerant quantum computer.
A fault-tolerant quantum computer can run 100 million operations without failing.
