Robinhood is launching a new Pre-IPO fund.
It aims to offer investors a chance to buy Silicon Valley tech stocks before they go public. Unfortunately, the fund doesn’t plan to own any shares of SpaceX.
Go here to claim a stake before the June IPO.
Robinhood Venture Fund I is the first closed-end fund offered by Robinhood.
It will invest in at least 10 private companies – with a focus on venture-backed, Pre-IPO deals.
The top 5 companies in the fund will include:
- Databricks: 23%
- Revolut: 14%
- Mecor: 14%
- Airwallex: 7%
- Boom Supersonic: 7%
The fund has an agreement in place to purchase shares of Stripe.
The goal is to raise $1 billion with Goldman Sachs leading the offering. That amount would make this the biggest new closed-end fund since 2022.
Trading is expected to begin on the NYSE on February 26.
Unfortunately, the fund doesn’t offer ownership of leading AI companies including OpenAI or Anthropic. And it also doesn’t include shares of SpaceX.
