Honestly, it’s not going to be Special Counsel Robert Mueller who sinks President Trump . . .  or even the Democrats on Capitol Hill.
Instead it’s this news from BuzzFeed:
Inside the Trump Administration’s Secret War on Weed
President Trump recently created a secret special committee.
Inside the White House it’s known as The Marijuana Policy Coordination Committee. And it includes 14 federal agencies and the Drug Enforcement Agency.
The goal?
“To counteract positive marijuana messages and identify problems with state legislation initiatives.”
The White House can’t stop the “pot stock” boom that’s underway. Go here to multiply your profits before Oct. 17.
A secret White House memo asks these agencies to “provide the most significant data demonstrating negative trends, with a statement describing the implications of such trends.”
Republicans in the Trump administration are concerned about the legalization movement. Specifically, they realize that legal weed is sweeping across the country – and around the world.
They’re pulling out all the stops . . .
And planning to convince the President to take corrective action – and enforce the federal laws that classify cannabis as a schedule I narcotic.
Their first step is to create a public relations smear campaign.
“This is a terrible political move by the administration,” says a senior fellow at the Washington, D.C. think tank Brookings Institution.
Frankly, it could be very costly for Trump to fight the legal cannabis movement.
It would be political suicide. And it would probably cost him the 2020 presidential election.
Trump is a calculating politician. He closely monitors the polls and public opinion.
So, he definitely saw this Gallup poll showing 64% public support for legal weed.

Among Democrats, support stands at 72%.
But even a majority of Republicans now support full legalization!
Trump may not support legalization of cannabis. But he certainly won’t take a hard line on marijuana policy.
Earlier this year, Trump promised to support a bill that would let states move forward with legalization – without intervention from the federal government.
Colorado Republican Sen. Cory Gardner pressured Trump to support his bill earlier this year. And his spokesman commented on the BuzzFeed,  saying . . .
“There seems to be a lot of interest in these storylines going around about how staff are trying to manipulate the president or to work around his firmly held policy positions – including the position he’s held since the campaign that marijuana policy is best left to the states.”
The bottom line is that Trump won’t risk re-election over marijuana policy.
That’s why this these “pot stock” profit will continue.
