Bill Gates Builds 7 Vaccine Factories

Microsoft founder Bill Gates predicted this global pandemic.

Right now, he’s using his foundation to fund new vaccines to STOP this outbreak.

Last night Bill Gates appeared on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.

Gates explained that he’s spending billions to build factories to manufacture COVID-19 vaccines.

The billionaire has already selected seven promising vaccines that are in development.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has already invested over $100 million. And they’ve also provided testing kits to people in Washington state.

Gates plans to select the most promising one or two vaccines.

Of course, there will be an urgent demand for vaccines as soon as a drug is FDA approved. Gates is funding the buildout of manufacturing facilities now – instead of waiting for FDA approval on a vaccine.

Because our foundation has such deep expertise in infectious diseases, we’ve thought about the epidemic, we did fund some things to be more prepared like a vaccine effort, our early money can accelerate things,” Gates explained.

World governments will work to support the development of vaccines. Yet a private organization can move much, much faster than a government.

That’s why Gates plans to spend billions to create these new manufacturing facilities. He’s preparing to manufacture seven different vaccines. He’s building out the facilities now.

Yet only one or two vaccines will ultimately be manufactured. That means many of these vaccine factories will be abandoned.

“It’ll be a few billion dollars we’ll waste on manufacturing for the constructs that don’t get picked because something else is better. But a few billion in this situation we’re in, where there’s trillions of dollars […] being lost economically, it is worth it,” says Gates.

Every month counts in a crisis.

It’s great to see the private sector leading and moving quickly to address the outbreak.
