Munger disclosed the initial cost of his oil investment and its yield today.
The investment materialized when Munger met a businessman named Al Marshall six decades ago.
Marshall outlined his plan to bid in a local oil royalty auction.

And Marshall enlisted Munger to join his bid and handle the legal and financial matters.
